Float glass is the most widely used form of glass today and is produced by a process of floating molten glass on a bed of molten metal (usually molten tin). They were once used by fishermen in many parts of the world to keep their fishing nets, as well as longlines or droplines, afloat. Float glass is normal or ordinary glass which is now widely produced and used in daily life.
